Health Education and Training

This project enables many people in 10 remote villages of the Kavre District to receive medical care. These people lack access to modern health-care facilities due to rough mountainous roads, poor economic conditions and low educational levels, and most have relied on traditional healers, whose treatments are most often ineffective, to cure their illnesses. CDO Nepal’s community health projects provide training by conducting health camps and providing sustainable health education and training so that these villagers will then be capable of sharing this knowledge with other community members, thereby improving overall health awareness. Any referred patients are accompanied to urban hospitals with the support of CDO Nepal.
