From 2008 to 2018, 89 children have received full CDO scholarships that have enabled them to attend local public schools. These children, many of whom have had great success in their studies, have served as an inspiration to the rest of the brick worker children. These scholarships cover all of the school fees, books, and supplies needed throughout each child’s experience. With brick factory workers only earning enough for two meals a day, these scholarships allow families to break the cycle of poverty created by illiteracy and poor education.
